Set compatibility mode^{[citation needed]}
Right-click `setup.exe` and choose Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab and choose Windows 98 / Windows Me. The installer should now work correctly.

Steam Overlay not working[edit]

Use dgVoodoo 2
Download latest version and unpack archive. Go to MS folder and copy `ddraw.dll` to your game directory. Steam Overlay should now work correctly. To remove dgVoodoo nag, you need to open `dgVoodooCpl.exe` and there untick dgVoodoo Watermark in DirectX tab.

Use Julius
Download latest release version and unpack archive. Rename `julius.exe` to `c3.exe` and copy all files to your game directory. Steam Overlay will now work without any problems. Julius also adds widescreen support, skips intro, fixes common problems and even removes DRM protection.

Game Review

Caesar is a period city-building strategy game designed by David Lester at Impression Games and released originally for the Amiga in 1992. It was later ported to DOS, Atari ST and Macintosh.

Three sequels were made turning Caesar into a full-blown franchise. It can also be linked to the game Cohort II to help with battle. Although featuring a setup and gameplay similar to Sim City, Caesar sets itself apart in many ways. Adding a vastly different setting, elements of combat, and the fact you are out for an ultimate goal.

Set during the Roman Empire it’s your job to build up your province and city and make your citizens happy. You need to make sure they have housing, water, education, entertainment and multiple other conveniences. You will also need to create and maintain an army to protect it all. If you are successful you can spread your influence to more provinces and eventually become the next emperor. Strategists will feel right at home with title.
